Michael Kell
Michael is Director of Analytical Services at the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG - formerly ODPM). He has been in this position since 2003; he joined ODPM in 2002 as Head of Central Economics Advice division, ODPM.
Prior to that, Michael has worked as a Senior Economist in the Fiscal Affairs Department of the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC (1998 - 2002); as a member of the UK delegation to the IMF and World Bank (1996 - 1998); as an Economic Adviser in HM Treasury (1991 - 1996) and as a researcher in the Institute for Fiscal Studies (1986 - 1989).
He studied economics at St Edmund Hall and Nuffield College, Oxford.
Michael is married with three daughters.
